Responsibilities
  • Assist in conducting research and analysis on issues related to gender equality, youth development, and disability rights.
  • Support the department in the development and implementation of policies, programs, and initiatives aimed at promoting gender equality, youth empowerment, and the rights of persons with disabilities.
  • Participate in the planning, organization, and execution of departmental events, workshops, and campaigns.

  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and policy briefs for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with other team members and external partners to advance the department's objectives and initiatives.

  • Contribute to knowledge-sharing activities within the department, including presenting research findings or insights to colleagues.
  • Undertake administrative tasks as required to support the smooth functioning of the department.
Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a relevant degree program in social sciences, gender studies, public policy, international relations, or a related field.
  • Passionate about social justice, gender equality, youth empowerment, and disability rights.
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into concise and meaningful reports.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present ideas and information.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software for data analysis and presentation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, frameworks, and international commitments related to gender equality, youth development, and disability rights is an advantage.
  • Understanding of government structures and processes is desirable but not essential.
