Available Internship Programs:
This program offers internships in various fields, each with its own unique set of skills and knowledge to be gained. Here are the focus areas:
- Petroleum Geosciences (x2 Interns): Dive into the fundamentals of geology and geophysics, equipping yourself with the knowledge required for a career in the oil and gas industry. This includes understanding seismic interpretation, basin modeling, petroleum systems, prospect generation, and South African geology. Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. Honours in Geosciences (4 years).
- Geology: Geographic Information Systems (GIS) (x1 Intern): Gain practical experience in petroleum E&P data management and the use of Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and spatial data management applications in the oil and gas industry. Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. Honours Degree in Geology, Geophysics, or Geographic Information Systems (4 years).
- Environmental Sciences/Environmental Management (x1 Intern): Immerse yourself in environmental sciences and management, with exposure to active operations both onshore and offshore. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders involved in the oil and gas industry, learning about operational matters. Minimum Qualification: B.Sc. Honours in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, or Natural Sciences (4 years).
- Finance (x1 Intern): Gain exposure to finance processes, including accounts receivables, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and more. You’ll develop practical financial management skills that will serve you well in the industry. Minimum Qualification: National Diploma in Accounting.
